Check out the collaboration between PuppetMaster App and the Playground Operas. Kids performed an opera AND made an animation out of it!
Every Spring, Opera on Tap collaborates with the 3rd, 4th and 5th graders at PS 129 in Harlem on the creation, development and production of an opera. The program culminates in a grand opera performance on their schoolyard in which they perform alongside opera professionals working in the field today for an audience of their peers, families and neighbors. This year, we brought PuppetMaster into the classroom to let our students tell the story of The Magic Flute in their own way, by creating their own art and animation, in addition to the live opera performance. This way, kids have a beautiful animated keepsake to share with family and friends, and keep their opera experience with them forever.
